A youngman who aped the British. A man of unscrupulous honesty and extreme courage.
A politician who fought for freedom with uncompromising will to fight for justice.
The inventor of the most powerfull weapon, satyagraha, abstaining from any positive action of any aggressive sort.
Apostle of nonviolence.
A man of renunciation who preached honesty, equality, liberty and fraternity.
A sage who loved even his enemies.A saint who could never hate anyone.
The gradual development of Mahatma's life from a politician to a sage was the result of his experiments with truth.    May the inspiration from the great soul lead us through the right path

Sathyagraha is the most powerful weapon invented by Mahatma Gandhi. The essence of this method of fighting is the refusal to do things that the authorities ordered. At the same time the satyagrahies were abstaining from any action of an aggressive sort. They were to submit to any brutal activities of the authorities with complete passivity. It was based on Mahatma's principle that violence is not to be resisted with violence. Gandhiji actually used this method with political view but with a religious aspects .This metod of fight needs the moral force and the strength of mind for its success. To fight against a powerful military with modern weapons only on moral streangth may prima facie seem to be childish but no one can ill-treat people who did nothing even in self-defence. The enimies are mentally attacked by this method.Their moral strength cannot support them long; their confidence is being gratually lost.Gandhiji won freedom for India by satyagraha. This proves that Gandhijiwas a politician who courageously fought against enemies but at the same time a holy sage with a divine fire in him.Gandhi will stimulate the minds of people for ages .
